Payment Options

New Commonwealth Natural Gas offers the following payment options:

  • In person at Clinton City Hall

  • In person at the New Commonwealth Natural Gas office in Wickliffe

  • Online (Credit Card Only)

  • ACH (Automatic Bank Draft)

Please note: Online payments are credit card only. Checks are not accepted online.


ACH Enrollment

New Commonwealth Natural Gas now accepts ACH payments.

To enroll in ACH (Automatic Bank Draft), please visit:

  • Clinton City Hall, or

  • The New Commonwealth Natural Gas office in Wickliffe

You will need to complete an application and provide a voided check.

The ACH Application and Authorization Person on Service Account Form are available under the “Forms” section of this website.

Disconnect notices will not be mailed. Customers are responsible for monitoring their account status and due dates.

Residential Garbage Collection

Residential garbage pickup occurs every Wednesday.

Please place containers at the curb the night before pickup.


Commercial Garbage Collection

Commercial pickup schedules may vary based on service agreement and location.

Businesses with questions regarding their pickup schedule should contact City Hall at (270) 653-6419, and we will coordinate with GFL.


Billing & Service Information

  • Garbage service is billed through the City of Clinton on your monthly Wastewater & Garbage bill.

  • For billing questions, contact City Hall.

  • For missed pickups, damaged containers, or service concerns, contact City Hall and we will coordinate with GFL.

Schedule changes due to holidays or inclement weather will be posted on the City’s website and Facebook page.

Billing Information

City of Clinton Wastewater (combined with Garbage service) bills are due on the last day of each month.

Payments may be made:

  • Online (click the “Pay Online” button)

  • By mail

  • In person or by drop-off at City Hall

When paying online, please enter your Account Number exactly as it appears on your bill (including dashes).

If you do not have your Account Number, please contact City Hall and we will assist you.

Late fees are assessed on all unpaid accounts after the last day of the month.


Auto-Payment & Paperless Billing

To enroll in Credit/Debit Card Auto-Payment or Paperless Billing, you must first create a utility account through the online payment portal.

The City also offers ACH Draft (Automatic Bank Draft) at no charge.
ACH drafts are processed on the last business day of each month.

To enroll in ACH, please contact City Hall.

Kentucky’s “Call Before You Dig” law requires anyone planning to dig to contact Kentucky 811 at least two (2) full working days before breaking ground.

Working days exclude Saturdays, Sundays, and state or federal holidays.

This law applies to homeowners, contractors, and anyone disturbing the ground for activities such as:

  • Installing fences or mailboxes

  • Planting trees or shrubs

  • Installing utility lines

  • Excavation or construction work

Kentucky Utilities no longer maintains a local office in our immediate area.


Payment Options

Customers may pay their Kentucky Utilities bill at participating retailers, including:

  • Dollar General

  • Walgreens

  • Family Dollar

  • Other authorized payment locations

You must bring your utility bill with the barcode printed on the back in order to make a payment in person.
