In an emergency, dial 911 from your phone immediately.

An emergency is any situation that requires immediate assistance from the police, fire department or ambulance.

When you call 911, be prepared to answer the call-taker’s questions, which may include:

  • The location of the emergency, including the street address
  • The phone number you are calling from
  • The nature of the emergency
  • Details about the emergency, such as a physical description of a person who may have committed a crime, a description of any fire that may be burning, or a description of injuries or symptoms being experienced by a person having a medical emergency

Remember, the call-taker’s questions are important to get the right kind of help to you quickly.
Be prepared to follow any instructions the call-taker gives you.

City of Clinton Wastewater & Garbage bills are due on the last day of each month. You may pay online (click “Pay Online”), by mail, or by dropping payments at City Hall.
When paying online, you must enter your Account Number exactly as it appears (including dashes). If you don’t have your Account Number, please contact City Hall and we’ll provide it.
Late fees are assessed to all unpaid accounts after the last day of the month.
To enroll in Auto-Payment or Paperless Billing, please contact City Hall.

The Mayor and City Council meet on the first Monday of each month at 5:00 p.m. at City Hall, 112 S Jefferson Street, Clinton, KY 42031.

City of Clinton Property Taxes
Property tax cards are mailed out by October 1 each year.

If you need a copy of your tax bill an e-mail request must be sent to [email protected] – Including the property owner’s name, address and/or map number.

  • Discount: A 2% discount is applied if payment is made by November 30.

  • Face Amount: Taxes are due at the face amount if paid by December 31.

  • Penalty: A 5% penalty will be added if paid after December 31 but by January 31.

  • Penalty: A 10% penalty will be added if paid after January 31.

Payments may be made by cash, or check.

If payments are mailed in and you would like a receipt, please include a self-addressed stamped envelope with your payment.

City of Clinton Employers Quarterly Occupational License
Quarterly Occupational License Fees are due on the dates listed below. Forms can be found under the “Forms” section.

  • April 30 – covering January 1 through March 31

  • July 31 – covering April 1 through June 30

  • October 31 – covering July 1 through September 30

  • January 31 – covering October 1 through December 31

City of Clinton Employers Annual Occupational License
The Annual Occupational License Fee is due January 31 of each year. Forms can be found under the “Forms” section.

City of Clinton ABC Regulatory Fees
The ABC Regulatory Fee Report is due quarterly on the dates below. Forms are available under “Forms.”

  • April 20 – covering January 1–March 31

  • July 20 – covering April 1–June 30

  • October 20 – covering July 1–September 30

  • January 20 – covering October 1–December 31

Annual Licenses: City of Clinton annual ABC licenses are due upon completion of your State annual licenses.
Please mail or email a copy of your State alcohol license to the City of Clinton along with your City license fee. If you are unsure of the fee, please contact Kaitlin at City Hall (270-653-6419).

City of Clinton Business Licenses
The City of Clinton issues Business Licenses for all businesses operating within the city.
Due Date: May 10th of each year
Application: The Business License Application can be found under the “Forms” section.

Kentucky Revised Statutes allow for public records inspection requests (Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests) when applicable. Copies of records are $0.10 per page.  To request information, download an Open Records Request Form and submit it to the City Clerk’s Office by email at [email protected] or by mail
